The Short Version

  • 5×114.3 with a 60 mm hub bore on every Estima, from the 1990 mid-engined TCR to the 2019 ACR50.
  • Twenty-nine years, no change. Not the pattern, not the bore.
  • The mid-engined first generation is the same as the rest, despite the unusual layout.
  • The narrow-body Emina and Lucida match too.

A Rare Case With No Trap

We spend most of these guides warning you about something. This one has nothing to warn about.

We checked the TCR10W from 1990 — the original mid-engined Estima, with the engine laid over under the floor — the CXR10G narrow-body Emina diesel from 1996, the ACR40W from 2004 and the ACR50W from 2013. Every one reads PCD 114.3, 5 holes, 60 mm bore.

That is a 29-year span covering a mid-engine layout, a transverse front-engine layout, two body widths and three generations, with no change at the hub at all.

The concern going in was the first generation, since a mid-engined vehicle has no particular reason to share a front-drive van’s hub. It does anyway.

Read from the Japanese factory wheel database.

Note the offset: +50 on the first two generations and +51 on the third. Effectively unchanged across the whole run, while the wheel grows from 15 inch to 18.

Emina and Lucida

The Estima Emina and Estima Lucida are the narrow-body versions, sold through different Toyota dealer channels and built to fit inside Japan’s smaller vehicle tax class. They look like a slightly squeezed Estima because that is exactly what they are.

On the wheel side they are the same car: 5×114.3, 60 mm, 15×6J at +50, identical to the wide-body Estima we checked. So Estima wheels fit an Emina or a Lucida.

A Note on Finding the Data

One quirk worth passing on if you go looking yourself. The database’s consolidated Estima index has a gap in its year picker between 2000 and 2006 — the 2001 to 2005 years are missing from that navigation list.

The data is not missing. The individual ACR30 and ACR40 grade pages exist and are reachable directly; they are simply not linked from that particular index grouping. We mention it because it makes the second generation look undocumented when it is not.

Sizing

+50 or +51 is deep, which is why an Estima on factory wheels looks tucked and why the VIP-styled builds these vehicles attract go so far the other way.

The usual window is 18×7.5J to 19×8J in the +38 to +48 range. Below about +30 you are into camber and fender work, which on a van carrying seven or eight people is a bigger commitment than it looks.

The 60 mm bore is the standard Toyota figure, so hub rings are trivially available and the wheel pool — shared with the Crown, the Altezza, the Soarer and the Supra — is enormous.

Importing

The first-generation Estima ran 1990–1999 and is fully past the US 25-year mark, Emina and Lucida included. The second generation launched in 2000, so early cars are eligible now with the rest following.

North America got the first-generation car as the Previa, so the shape is familiar there. What the US never got is the Emina and Lucida, or the later generations at all.

What We Could Not Verify

  • The ACR30W two-wheel-drive grade individually. We opened the ACR40W four-wheel-drive page.
  • The TCR20 and TCR21 four-wheel-drive first-generation grades. The index gives them the same 15×6J at +50; we confirmed the PCD and bore on the TCR10W.
  • The petrol TCR10G Emina against the diesel CXR10G we opened. The index shows identical wheel sizes.
