The Short Version
- 5×114.3 with a 66 mm hub bore on the V35 and the V36 — the same as the R34.
- So R34 wheels bolt to a V35. The engine and the platform changed; the hub did not.
- What changed is offset and width. The base 250GT sits at 16×6.5J +40; the V35 coupe at 18×8J +30.
- The V35 base grade’s bore is marked “under investigation”, though the coupe and the V36 both read 66 mm.
The Break That Was Not a Break
The V35 is remembered as the moment the Skyline stopped being a Skyline — the RB straight-six gone, replaced by the VQ V6; a new FM platform shared with the Z33; production moved to Tochigi.
At the hub, none of that happened. We confirmed the R34 at 5×114.3 with a 66 mm bore, and the V35 coupe and the V36 sedan at exactly the same figures.
So a set of R34 wheels bolts to a V35, and a set of V36 wheels bolts to an R34. The thing you have to check is offset and width, not fitment.
That is worth knowing because the two cars occupy very different price brackets in the used-wheel market. R34 wheels carry a GT-R-adjacent premium. V35 and V36 takeoffs do not.

The Coupe Is the Outlier
Note the V35 coupe at +30 against everything else in the range at +40 or +45, and its staggered tyre — 225 front, 245 rear on the same 8J wheel.
That is a genuinely different setup from the sedan, and it is the one people want. If you are buying wheels described as “V35” for a coupe, +45 sedan wheels will tuck 15 mm further in than the car came with.
The V36 goes staggered by width and offset on the upper grades: 18×7.5J at +45 front, 18×8.5J at +50 rear.
Sizing
The V35 and V36 are wide cars with room, and the aftermarket move is usually 19×8.5J to 19×9.5J in the +20 to +40 range, staggered.
The 66 mm bore is the Nissan standard of the era, shared with the Z33 and Z34, the Laurel and the Fuga. Wheel supply is excellent.
Infiniti G35 and G37
North America got these cars as the Infiniti G35 and G37. Those are export badges and they do not appear in the Japanese databases, so we could not verify their figures against a primary source.
The platform and the corner hardware are shared, so we would expect the same 5×114.3 on 66 mm. We are flagging it as an expectation rather than a confirmation, and offset in particular may differ by market.
Importing
The V35 launched in June 2001, so only its first three months of production are eligible for US import today, with the rest following month by month to 2031. The V36 is a 2031-and-later proposition.
Since America had both cars as Infinitis, importing a JDM one is about right-hand drive and the JDM grades rather than availability.
What We Could Not Verify
- Hub bore for the V35 base 250GT. Explicitly marked “under investigation”. The coupe and the V36 both read 66 mm.
- Hub bore for the V35 300GT and 350GT-8, and for most V36 grades beyond the 250GT sedan and V35 coupe we opened.
- The V36 coupe, whose page we did not open.
- Infiniti G35 and G37 figures, which are not in the Japanese databases.
