Introduction
Search for S13 wheels and half the results will be 5×114.3. That is because a large share of surviving S13s have been converted to five-lug — but the car left the factory with four. If you are buying wheels for an unmodified S13, or you are not sure which hubs your car has, that single detail decides everything else.

Every factory S13, in both Japanese Silvia and export 240SX form, uses 4×114.3 with a 66.1 mm hub bore, M12 x 1.25 lug nuts, and ET40.

Note how little variation there is. Unlike most cars in this series, the S13 has essentially one factory offset — ET40 — across every trim and both markets. That makes it an unusually clean baseline to work from.

All three S-chassis share the same 66.1 mm hub bore, which is why five-lug conversions using S14 or S15 hubs are so common and so straightforward. But a converted S13 is a 5×114.3 car, and an unconverted one is not. Before buying, count the studs on your own car. Do not rely on the seller’s description or on what looks normal in photos of other people’s builds.
Section 2: Recommended Fitment Ranges

Factory-Faithful / Period-Correct
Verified OEM offset: ET38–ET42 on 5J to 6J rims.
- Sizes: 5Jx14 and 6Jx15 were the factory fitments
- Best for: Preservation builds and the period-correct look, which has become one of the strongest trends on this chassis
- Note: Genuine 1980s and 1990s four-lug wheels in 14 and 15 inch are increasingly hard to find — this is the single most requested S13 category we see
Street and Drift Fitment
Typical aftermarket range: roughly ET10 to ET30, with 7J to 9J widths.
- Camber: Significant negative camber is normal on drift setups, and it changes what offset will clear
- Fender work: Rolling and pulling are routine on this chassis, not exceptional
- Reality check: These are scene norms, not manufacturer specifications. Measure your own car, especially if it has been converted to five-lug with different hubs

Section 4: Selection Tips and Cautions
- Count the studs first. Four-lug and five-lug S13s are both common. Nothing else matters until you know which you have
- M12 x 1.25 lug nuts. This is the Nissan thread pitch — it is not the M12 x 1.5 used by Toyota and Honda. Mixing them will destroy the studs
- 66.1 mm hub bore. Many aftermarket wheels are machined to 73 mm and use hub rings. Make sure rings are included and correctly sized
- Four-lug wheel supply is shrinking. Genuine period 4×114.3 wheels in good condition are getting harder to source every year — that is worth factoring into a restoration budget
- Check the hubs on a converted car. A five-lug S13 may be running S14, S15 or Z32 hubs, and brake clearance differs between them
Fitment verification checklist:
- ✓ Confirm four-lug or five-lug on your actual car
- ✓ Confirm M12 x 1.25 nuts, not M12 x 1.5
- ✓ Confirm hub bore and whether rings are needed
- ✓ If converted: confirm which hubs were used and check caliper clearance
- ✓ Measure fender clearance at full lock and full compression
