The Short Version

  • 5×114.3 on a 66 mm bore across the C34 and C35, every grade.
  • The RB25DET Club S runs the base car’s wheel on the C34.
  • The 16-inch wheel arrives with the C35, not with the turbo.
  • Nothing is staggered — 254 rows, all square.

The Turbo Does Not Get Its Own Wheel

The Laurel is bought for the RB25DET, and the reasonable assumption is that the turbo grades sit on something wider. On the C34 they do not.

Every C34 grade — from the base Senecia through Medalist, Club S, Club S Turbo, Club S Turbo Type X and Club S Turbo Type X Super HICAS — runs 15×6J at +40. Same wheel, same offset, same 5×114.3 on a 66 mm bore.

The upsize to 16×7J at +40 happens at the C35 changeover in June 1997, on the turbo Club S Type X and the Medalist Premier Turbo. So it is a generation change, not a grade change.

The practical consequence: a set of wheels from a base C34 Medalist fits a C34 Club S Turbo exactly. They will look underdone, because 15×6J at +40 is a modest factory number on a car this wide, but they fit.

+40 Is the Number to Remember

Every Laurel row, C34 and C35, base and turbo, two-wheel drive and four, sits at +40. That is unusually consistent even by the standards of this series.

It also places the Laurel neatly in the middle of its peers: the X81 Mark II family is at +50, the F31 Leopard at +25, the Cefiro A31 also at +40.

So Cefiro wheels and Laurel wheels are directly interchangeable in both pattern and offset, which is convenient given how many A31s have been broken for parts.

The C33 Connection

The C33 Laurel shares the same 5×114.3 / 66 mm hub, as does essentially every rear-drive Nissan of the period — the R32 Skyline, the S13, the Z32.

That family commonality is the single most useful fact about buying wheels for any of these cars. Your pool is enormous and your only real check is the bore — do not accept a wheel bored 67 mm for a Mazda or Mitsubishi hub, because it will bolt up and sit loose.

Sizing

From +40 on a 6J or 7J rim, the usual ground for a C34 or C35 build is 17×9J to 18×9.5J in the +15 to +30 range, with a wider rear if you want it — the factory did not stagger this car, but plenty of owners do.

The C35 is the one that carries a big wheel most naturally, having come on 16 inch to start with.

Importing

The C34 launched in January 1993 and is entirely eligible for US import. The C35 arrived in June 1997 and is eligible now through 2028.

Neither was sold in North America. The Club S Turbo Type X with the RB25DET and Super HICAS is the grade worth the freight, and the GNC35 Medalist FOUR is the curiosity — a four-wheel-drive Laurel, which almost nobody outside Japan knows exists.

What We Could Not Verify

  • Factory tyre sizes for many individual sub-grades, which the database mostly leaves blank.
  • Whether any grade was offered with an optional wheel differing from the standard fitment.
