The Short Version

  • Bluebird U14 and Sylphy G10 are both 4×114.3. Four studs on the big bolt circle.
  • The Sylphy G10 bore is a published 66 mm. The U14’s has never been researched.
  • The next Sylphy, the G11, is 4×100 on 60 mm — a complete change of hardware under the same name.
  • The 4WD grades do not differ from the two-wheel-drive cars on either car.

Why We Are Being Careful Here

An earlier research pass on this site produced a wrong PCD and a wrong bore for the Sylphy, taken from a search-engine summary. We caught it before publication and it is the reason “do not trust AI summaries for numbers” is now the first line of every research brief we write.

So every figure below was read off a rendered factory-database page, and the important ones were confirmed on individual grade pages. Here is what those pages actually say.

The Sylphy Changes Bolt Pattern Between Generations

This is the finding, and it explains why wrong figures circulate so freely for this car.

Generation Chassis codes Period PCD Holes Bore Rows
Sylphy G10 TA/UA/CBA-FG10, UA/DBA-QG10, TA-QNG10, GH-TG10 2000.08–2005.04 114.3 4 66 mm 49
Sylphy G11 DBA-G11, DBA-KG11, DBA-NG11 2005–2012 100 4 60 mm 45
Read from the Japanese factory wheel database, 94 rows across both generations.

Same nameplate, same class of car, five years apart — and a completely different hub. Different bolt circle, different bore. Nothing from one fits the other.

If someone tells you “a Sylphy is 4×100”, they are right about the G11 and wrong about the G10. If someone tells you “a Sylphy is 4×114.3”, the reverse. Both figures are in circulation and neither is qualified by generation, which is exactly how this goes wrong.

Another Nissan on Four-Lug 114.3

The U14 and the G10 join a list that keeps growing. We have now documented 4×114.3 on the Primera P10 and P11, the C23 Serena, upper-grade Sunny B14 and all of the B15, upper-grade Wingroad Y11 and the base Avenir W10.

It is not an oddity. For a decade it was Nissan’s standard fitment for the class between the small cars and the rear-drive saloons. The reason it feels wrong is that four studs reads as 100 mm to almost everybody, sellers included.

The good news for a U14 or G10 owner: that list is your parts pool. A B15 Sunny wheel fits a Sylphy G10 exactly — same pattern, same 66 mm bore.

The Bore We Do Not Have

Every U14 row leaves the bore blank, and the individual grade page for the GF-QU14 SSS-X II confirms 調査中 — under investigation.

Given that the Sylphy G10 sits at 66 mm and the B15 Sunny sits at 66 mm and both are close relatives, 66 is the obvious expectation for the U14. We are not printing it. Measure it, and you will know.

Sizing

The G10’s +35 on the 1.5 and +40 on the 1.8 and 2.0 is moderate, and the car has a little arch room. A 15×6.5J or 16×7J in the +38 to +45 band is the sensible ground.

Your constraint is the pattern. 4×114.3 with a 66 mm bore is a genuinely small aftermarket segment, and most of what exists is period Japanese stock in 14 and 15 inch. Be sceptical of anything sold as “4×114.3, universal fit” — wheels in this pattern were also made for 60 mm and other bores, and a 60 mm wheel will not pass over a 66 mm hub.

Importing

The U14 launched in August 1996 and is eligible for US import now. The Sylphy G10 arrived in August 2000 and becomes eligible from 2025 onward on a rolling basis.

Neither was sold in North America under these names. The grade with no equivalent anywhere is the U14 SSS-Z with the SR20VE NEO VVL — a 190 PS variable-valve four in an unremarkable family saloon, which is a very Japanese idea.

What We Could Not Verify

  • Hub bore for any Bluebird U14 grade. Confirmed unresearched on the grade page.
  • Tyre sizes for most U14 grades.
  • Whether the U14 and the Sylphy G10 physically share a hub. Their PCDs match and the G10’s bore is published; the U14’s is not.
