Introduction
The Lexus GS is one of the most straightforward cars in this series to fit wheels to — right up until you reach the GS F, which throws out the rule the rest of the range follows. Every other GS, across two generations and every engine, runs a single square ET45 fitment. The GS F is staggered, and unusually, its rear offset is lower than its front.

All GS models share the same core hardware: 5×114.3 bolt pattern, 60.1 mm hub bore, lug nuts, 103 Nm torque.

The ET45 rule. From the 2005 GS300 through to the 2020 GS350, in 17, 18 and 19 inch, the factory offset never moves off ET45. Only the width changes with diameter. If you are buying used wheels for a non-F GS, ET45 is the number to anchor on.
The GS F exception. The GS F runs 9Jx19 ET50 at the front and 10Jx19 ET41 at the rear. Note the direction: the rear is 9 mm lower in offset and 1 J wider, pushing it further outboard. This is the opposite of the German convention — a Mercedes-AMG C63 S, for example, runs ET25 front and ET57 rear. If you are cross-shopping staggered sets between platforms, this catches people out.
A note on stud thread. The GS F and most GS variants are M12 x 1.5. Some S190-generation entries also list M14 x 1.5. Before ordering lug nuts for an older GS, check the studs on your own car rather than assuming.
Wheels that carry over from other Lexus models
The GS shares 5×114.3 and a 60.1 mm hub bore with the LS430 and Toyota Celsior, which also run ET45 from the factory. That makes LS430 take-off wheels a genuinely viable source for a non-F GS, subject to width and diameter. It does not extend to the LS460, which moved to 5×120.

Factory-Faithful (Non-F GS)
Verified OEM range: ET43 to ET47
- Wheel size: 7.5Jx17 up to 8Jx19
- Ride height: Stock or mildly lowered
- Best for: Owners who want the car to sit as Lexus intended, with full clearance at lock
Lowered and Stance Fitment
Typical aftermarket range: roughly ET20 to ET40, with 8.5J to 10J widths
- The GS is a common VIP-style platform in Japan, and the same conventions as the LS apply: air suspension, deep dish, camber used to tuck rather than to clear
- Coming from ET45, dropping to ET25 moves the wheel 20 mm outboard per corner — measure before committing
- These are scene norms, not manufacturer specifications

Section 4: Selection Tips and Cautions
- Do not buy a square set for a GS F. Front and rear differ in both width and offset. A four-wheel set quoting one size is not GS F fitment.
- Check brake clearance on the GS F. The F carries larger Brembo hardware than the rest of the range — 19-inch is the factory minimum for a reason.
- 60.1 mm hub bore. Use hub rings if the wheel bore is larger; on a 1,700–1,900 kg saloon the hub carries the load, not the studs.
- Verify stud thread on S190 cars before ordering nuts.
- Load rating. Check the JWL/VIA or load stamp — wheels sized for lighter sports cars may not be rated for a GS.
