The Short Version
- 5×114.3 on both the V20 and the V30. No changeover between generations.
- Hub bore is published only on the Prominent grades, at 60 mm. The plain Vista grades are marked “under investigation”.
- One source conflict, which we report rather than resolve.
- The V30 was never sold in the US. The American Camry went its own way in 1992.

Four grade pages across two nameplates and two generations, and the bolt pattern is 5×114.3 every time. Whatever else varies, that does not.
The Odd Split in the Data
Something worth noticing: the Prominent grades have a researched hub bore of 60 mm and the plain Vista grades do not — theirs read “under investigation”.
These are the same platform. There is no obvious mechanical reason for one to be documented and the other not, and we suspect it is simply how the database was compiled rather than evidence of a difference.
But we are not going to carry the 60 mm figure across to the Vista rows on that suspicion. If you have a Vista rather than a Prominent, measure the register or send us the chassis code.
A Conflict We Are Not Going to Resolve
RS Watanabe’s Toyota matching data lists the Camry VZV30 as 5×100, not 5×114.3.
We think the factory database is right. Four independent grade pages, spanning both nameplates and both generations, all say 114.3, and RS Watanabe’s entry is a single line in a dense compatibility chart. Their own page carries a disclaimer about old and modified cars.
But this is a genuine disagreement between two sources we normally trust, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. If you are buying for a VZV30, count the studs and measure the spacing yourself before ordering. It takes two minutes and it settles it for your car.
The US Camry Question
Buyers assume a JDM Camry Prominent or Vista is the same car as an American Camry of the same years. For the V20 generation that is roughly true — the export Camry of 1986–91 is the same family.
For the V30 it is specifically false. The JDM Vista and Camry Prominent continued on the V30 platform from 1990 to 1994, while the American Camry moved in 1992 to the larger XV10 platform designed for that market. They are different cars from 1992 onward.
So if you are importing a 1991–94 Prominent or Vista and expecting US Camry parts to fit, that assumption fails.
Sizing
The range runs from 13×5J at +39 up to 15×5.5J at +45. The Prominent hardtop is the one most people import and its 15×5.5J +45 is the useful baseline.
The practical window is 16×7J in the +38 to +45 range. Given the 60 mm bore on the Prominent, hub rings are readily available — it is a common Toyota figure.
Importing
The V20 ran 1986–1990 and the V30 1990–1994. Both are fully past the US 25-year mark. The pillarless four-door hardtop bodies are the ones worth the effort, since the US never got them.
What We Could Not Verify
- Hub bore for the plain Vista grades. Explicitly marked unresearched.
- The 5×100 versus 5×114.3 conflict on the VZV30. Two primary sources disagree and we could not adjudicate it.
- Offsets for every grade — we sampled base grades per generation rather than pulling the full grade list.
