ADVAN Racing GT is the forged, five-spoke line in Yokohama Wheel’s ADVAN Racing range, and it is sold under four related names: GT, GT Premium Version, GT BEYOND and GT BEYOND-R. Yokohama Wheel publishes size tables for all four, so most of what a buyer needs can be checked against the maker’s own pages. This guide sorts out which is which and how to read the tables.
The Short Version
- Four related lines, one family. GT (2012), GT Premium Version (which Yokohama calls the special specification of the GT), GT BEYOND, and GT BEYOND-R. Yokohama Wheel describes all of them as five-spoke wheels.
- PCD and centre bore come as pairs. On Yokohama Wheel’s tables, 5×114.3 is listed with φ73, 5×100 with φ63, 5×120 with φ72.5/73 and 5×112 with φ66.5/73.
- The spoke face changes with the size. Yokohama grades it from C-1 (shallowest) to C-5 (deepest), so two wheels of the same width and diameter can look quite different at different offsets.
- Yokohama does not publish weights for any of the four lines.
The four lines
| Line | Sizes, as Yokohama Wheel lists them | Construction, as stated | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ADVAN Racing GT | 18, 19 and 20 inch (the 2012 launch was 20-inch only) | Die-forged, one-piece | Launched 25 April 2012. Yokohama’s release says it was developed from the 18-inch five-spoke TC-III design. Colours listed: Machining & Racing Hyper Black, Semi-Gloss Black, Racing White (18-inch: Machining & Racing Metal Black). |
| GT Premium Version | 18, 19, 20 and 21 inch | Die-forged, one-piece | Began as a 20-inch version for the R35 GT-R; the 21-inch was added later. The logo is machined into the spoke rather than applied as a sticker. Three colours are exclusive to it: Racing Gloss Black, Racing Gold Metallic and Racing Titanium Blue. |
| GT BEYOND | 17, 18, 19 and 20 inch | A6061 aluminium alloy, die-forged | Barrel-shaped rim with a fixed outer-rim depth. Five spoke-face grades, C-1 to C-5. Knurled bead seat on every size. Colours listed include Racing Titanium Black, Racing Copper Bronze, Racing White and Racing Sand Metallic. |
| GT BEYOND-R | 18 inch on Yokohama Wheel’s page | Not stated on the page | Stepped rim, with four rim lengths (L-1 to L-4) and three spoke-face grades (C-1 to C-3). Colours listed: Machining & Diamond Cut, Diamond Cut & Dark Platinum Black, Racing Titanium Black. |
PCDs and centre bores
Four bolt patterns appear on Yokohama Wheel’s tables. The centre bore is listed with the PCD, so a wheel’s bore tells you which pattern it was made for.
| PCD | Centre bore, as listed | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| 5×114.3 | φ73 | Every line and nearly every size |
| 5×100 (and 4×100 on some 17-inch GT BEYOND sizes) | φ63 | Selected 17, 18 and 19-inch sizes |
| 5×120 | φ72.5/73 (φ70.1/73 on some Premium Version sizes) | Selected 18 to 21-inch sizes. A footnote on the Premium Version table marks some of these as compatible with Honda spherical-seat bolts. |
| 5×112 | φ66.5/73 | Selected 18 to 20-inch sizes on GT BEYOND and BEYOND-R, and 19-inch Premium Version |
For how bore, hub and hub rings fit together, see our hub bore reference. For moving between 4×100, 5×100 and 5×114.3, see bolt pattern changeovers.
Reading the size table
Yokohama Wheel lists each width and offset combination as its own row, with its own spoke-face grade, rather than offering one wheel in a few widths. On GT BEYOND, for example, an 18×9.5J at +45 is C-3, one at +29 is C-4, and the lowest-offset 18×9.5J is C-5. A deeper grade means a more concave face. The older GT and Premium Version tables add a separate rim-depth letter for the outer rim: S (standard), M (medium) or E (extra deep).
The size, PCD and offset of these four GT BEYOND rows appear on both Yokohama Wheel’s page and an independent retailer listing. The spoke-face grade comes from Yokohama Wheel only:
| Size | PCD | Offset | Spoke-face grade |
|---|---|---|---|
| 18×10.5J | 114.3 | +24 | C-5 |
| 19×9.0J | 114.3 | +35 | C-2 |
| 19×9.5J | 120 | +45 | C-3 |
| 20×9.5J | 114.3 | +40 | C-2 |
The full tables run to several dozen rows per line. We have not reproduced them, because they are long and several are marked as stock-limited. Use the maker’s pages directly for the current list. For where the GT sits in the wider ADVAN Racing range, see our ADVAN Racing brand profile. Yokohama’s own releases name the R35 GT-R as a target car, and our R35 GT-R fitment guide covers that car.
Yokohama does not publish weights
None of the four Yokohama Wheel pages states a wheel weight. The only figure we found is one independent measurement: 8.40 kg for a single 18×9J +35, 5×114.3 wheel, weighed with an aluminium valve and a 20 g balance weight attached. The article gives no measuring method and no catalogue figure to compare it against. Treat it as one data point and not a spec.
Buying a used set
- Work out which line it is first. Yokohama says the Premium Version’s spoke logo is machined, while the standard GT’s is not. BEYOND and BEYOND-R carry their own names and different rim shapes.
- Check that the PCD and bore are a pair Yokohama made, using the table above. A 5×114.3 wheel should be φ73.
- Check that the size, offset and PCD together appear in Yokohama’s table. A combination that is not listed deserves a question to the seller.
- Ask whether the centre caps are included. Yokohama sells the caps separately on these capless designs.
- Ask for the size, offset and PCD as marked on the wheel, and compare them with the listing. We have not found a Yokohama statement about where the markings are placed, so we do not describe them here.
- Do not use weight as an authenticity test. There is no published figure to compare against.
- Treat older price lists as old. The GT and Premium Version pages we read carry 2021 stock dates, and several colours are marked as available while stocks last.
What We Could Not Verify
The GT BEYOND launch date: Yokohama Wheel’s pages do not give one, and the tyre-shop blog post that announced it is undated. The wheel weights, apart from the one independent measurement above. Whether any line is still in production: several lists are dated 2021 and marked as stock-limited, while the GT BEYOND list carries prices effective December 2024. The Premium Version’s knurling: the Japanese table marks knurled sizes with an asterisk, while the English note on the same page says all sizes are knurled, and we could not resolve this. The BEYOND-R spoke count: one trade-magazine article calls the GT series six-spoke, while Yokohama Wheel describes straight five-spoke designs, and we followed Yokohama. A 20×10.5J +34 5×120 GT BEYOND listed by a US retailer, which does not appear in the Japanese table we read, so the US lineup may differ. The sizes were read from Yokohama Wheel’s pages through a page-summary tool and then spot-checked, with only the four rows above checked against a second source, so confirm any specific size on the maker’s page before ordering. Which cars any particular size fits: we do not give car lists beyond Yokohama’s own mention of the R35 GT-R and Porsche applications.
Looking for a specific set? We specialise in genuine Japanese wheels — RAYS, Volk, Enkei, SSR, WORK, BBS Japan and the rare discontinued sets that never left the country. Tell us the wheel, the fitment, the year — our team searches our networks until we find it.
