The Short Version
- 4×100 on a 54 mm bore across every generation of both cars.
- No Custom, Gear or turbo split.
- The Hustler is identical to the Spacia.
- +45 throughout, on 4.5J×14 or 15.
The Standard Suzuki Answer
These are two of the best-selling kei cars in Japan and there is nothing complicated about either of them.
| Model | Chassis | Period | Wheel | Tyre | PCD / Holes / Bore |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Spacia | MK32S | 2013–2015 | 4.5J×14 +45 | 145/80R13 early, 155/65R14 later | 100 / 4 / 54 |
| Spacia | MK42S | 2015–2017 | 4.5J×14 +45 | — | 100 / 4 / 54 |
| Spacia | MK53S | 2017–2023 | 4.5J×14 or 15 +45 | — | 100 / 4 / 54 |
| Spacia | MK94S | 2023– | 4.5J×14 or 15 +45 | — | 100 / 4 / 54 |
| Spacia Custom, Gear, Base, Custom Z | same codes | — | as above | — | 100 / 4 / 54 |
| Hustler | MR31S, MR41S, MR52S, MR92S | 2014– | 4.5J×15 +45 | — | 100 / 4 / 54 |
This is the Suzuki and Daihatsu kei convention exactly, and it is worth having on record because Honda and Mitsubishi kei cars are 56 mm, not 54. We set out that split in the N-BOX guide.
A Honda kei wheel bolts to a Spacia and sits two millimetres loose on the hub. That is the mistake to avoid here, and nothing about fitting it will warn you.
The Hustler Is a Spacia in a Hat
Mechanically, the Hustler is the Spacia platform with raised styling, chunkier bumpers and a colour palette aimed at people who want their kei car to look like it goes somewhere.
The fitment confirms it. Same PCD, same bore, same +45. The only consistent difference is that the Hustler comes on 15-inch as standard where the Spacia mixes 14 and 15 by grade.
So Spacia wheels fit a Hustler and vice versa, and a set of 15-inch Hustler wheels is a straightforward upgrade for a 14-inch Spacia.
Sizing
+45 on 4.5J is narrow and high, as kei fitments are. The realistic move is 15×5J or 15×5.5J in the +38 to +45 band.
The constraint is not the arch, it is the 1,475 mm kei width limit, which is a registration-class limit rather than a fender rule. Exceed it and the vehicle is no longer a kei car for tax and registration purposes. That is a much harder ceiling than the protrusion rules that apply to ordinary cars, and it is why kei fitments cluster so tightly.
Importing
The Spacia launched in 2013 and the Hustler in 2014, so both become eligible for US import from 2038 onward. This is a long-term proposition.
Worth noting anyway because the Hustler is one of the more likely kei cars to find an overseas audience — it is a tall, boxy, two-tone thing with genuine charm, and it sells in enormous numbers, so supply will not be the problem when the time comes.
What We Could Not Verify
- Full tyre size tables for every grade. We spot-checked the Spacia; the aggregate pages leave most tyre cells blank.
