The Short Version

  • 4×100 on every grade of all three badges, 1986 to 1999.
  • +39 on most of the range, moving to +45 on some later 14-inch fitments.
  • No hub bore has ever been researched, for any of the three.
  • The 4WD grade uses the same hub as the two-wheel-drive car.

Three Badges, One Car

Toyota sold this platform through three dealer channels under three names — Corsa at Toyota Corolla stores, Tercel at Toyota Vista stores, Corolla II at Toyota Corolla stores alongside the Corsa. Same car, different badge, different showroom.

The factory database keeps three separate model pages, and where they overlap they agree exactly: 100 mm, 4 holes, on 4J×13 to 5.5J×14.

Chassis Period Grades Wheel Tyre PCD / Holes / Bore
E-EL30 1986–1990 base, TX, More, GX 4J×13 +39 145SR13 100 / 4 / Not researched
E-EL31 1986–1990 Retra VU / VSi / GP Turbo 5J×13 to 5.5J×14 +39 165/70R13 to 185/60R14 100 / 4 / Not researched
E-EL41 1990–1993 TX, AX, More, SZ 4J×13 to 5.5J×14, +39 / +45 145SR13, 155SR13 100 / 4 / Not researched
E-EL51 (2WD), E-EL55 (4WD) 1993–1999 full range 4.5J×13 to 5.5J×13 +39 155/80R13, 175/70R13 100 / 4 / Not researched
Read from the Japanese factory wheel database. Corsa and Tercel pages agree row for row.

The 4WD EL55 gets a wider rim — 5J or 5.5J against the 2WD’s 4.5J — and nothing else. Same bolt pattern, same offset, same unresearched bore.

The Corolla II Page Is Missing Two Generations

Here is the wrinkle, and it is a coverage problem rather than a contradiction.

The Corsa and Tercel pages both carry the EL30, EL31, EL41 and EL51/EL55 generations. The Corolla II page carries only EL51/EL55 — the 1993 to 1999 cars. The 1986–1990 and 1990–1993 Corolla II generations are simply not on it.

Where Corolla II data does exist, it matches Corsa and Tercel exactly. So the practical answer for a 1988 Corolla II owner is: read the Corsa page instead, because it is the same car and the database has it.

This is the third time in two batches we have found badge-engineered twins where one page is populated and the other is not — after the Carina ED and Corona EXiV, and the Wingroad and AD Wagon. It is worth knowing as a general habit: if your car’s page is thin, check its twin.

Nobody Has Measured the Bore

Across all three badges and all four generations, the bore cell is empty, and an individual grade page confirms it as 調査中 — under investigation, rather than absent.

Toyota’s small-car figure is 54.1 mm and that is almost certainly what this car uses. We are not printing it as fact for the same reason we never do. Measure the hub — our reference explains how.

The Grade Worth Knowing About

The EL31 Corsa/Tercel “Retra” deserves a mention. It is the pop-up-headlight three-door, and the range included a GP Turbo grade running up to 5.5J×14 on 185/60R14 — a full inch and a half wider than the 145SR13 base car.

Its fitment is the same 4×100 at +39 as everything else. The wheel is bigger; the hub is not.

Buying

+39 is low for a small Toyota of this era, which means aftermarket wheels in the common +40 to +45 band will sit slightly further in than the factory. On a car this narrow that is not a problem, and it may help clearance.

Your real constraint is 13-inch availability. 4×100 in 13 inch is a shrinking market and most of what is left is period Japanese stock, which suits these cars well. Fourteen inch opens things up considerably.

Check the bore against your measurement rather than assuming. 4×100 wheels are bored 54.1 for Toyota, 56.1 for Honda and 59.1 for Nissan; a Honda-bored wheel is loose on a Toyota hub, and a Toyota-bored one will not go on a Honda.

Importing

The EL30 and EL41 generations are entirely past 25 years. The EL51 runs to 1999 and is eligible now through 2024 onward.

The Tercel was sold in North America, so parts knowledge exists there — but the JDM Corsa and Corolla II badges, the Retra pop-up-headlight body and the GP Turbo grade were never exported.

What We Could Not Verify

  • Hub bore for any Corsa, Tercel or Corolla II grade. Universally unresearched.
  • EL30, EL31 and EL41 data under the Corolla II badge specifically. Absent from that page; we read it from the Corsa and Tercel pages instead.
  • Whether a Corolla II page for the earlier generations exists elsewhere on the database under a different address.
