Mitsubishi eK, Toppo and Minica Wheel Fitment Guide: Fifty-Six, and the Gap in the Middle

Mitsubishi eK Toppo Minica wheel fitment card
Mitsubishi kei cars — 4×100 on 56 mm, with a six-year data gap.

The Short Version

  • 4×100 throughout, from the 1989 Minica to the current eK.
  • 56 mm bore, like Honda’s kei cars and unlike Suzuki’s and Daihatsu’s.
  • The bore went dark for six years when the Nissan-Mitsubishi joint platform arrived, then came back in 2025.
  • +46 offset since 1989. Thirty-six years.

Mitsubishi Is a 56 mm Maker

We have just established in the Honda kei guide that Honda uses 56 mm where Suzuki and Daihatsu use 54. Mitsubishi is the second maker on the 56 side.

Model Chassis Period Wheel PCD / Holes / Bore
Minica H21A through H47A 1989.05–1999.10 4J–5J×10–13 +46 100 / 4 / 56
Toppo BJ H41A, H42A, H46A, H47A 1998.10–2001.02 — 100 / 4 / 56
Toppo BJ Wide H43A, H48A 1999.01–2001.06 — 100 / 4 / 56
eK Wagon H81W, H82W 2001.10–2007.09 4J×13 +46 100 / 4 / 56
eK Sport (turbo) H81W, H82W 2002.09–2007.09 — 100 / 4 / 56
Toppo H82A 2008.09–2009.08 — 100 / 4 / 56
eK Wagon / Custom B11W 2013.06–2019.03 — 100 / 4 / Not researched
eK Wagon / eK Cross B33W, B36W, B34W, B35W 2019.03–2025.06 — 100 / 4 / Not researched
eK Wagon / eK Cross same chassis codes 2025.07– — 100 / 4 / 56.1
Read from the Japanese factory wheel database.

So Honda and Mitsubishi use 56; Suzuki and Daihatsu use 54. “Kei cars are 4×100 on 54” is half right, which is the worst kind of right.

The Six-Year Gap, and What It Is Not

Here is a case where the data could easily be misread, so it is worth setting out carefully.

In 2013, the eK moved to the Nissan-Mitsubishi joint platform shared with the Nissan Dayz. From that point — chassis B11W onward — the database stopped publishing a bore figure. Six years of eK Wagon, eK Custom and eK Cross rows all read 調査中.

Then in July 2025 the database was refreshed and the figure reappeared as 56.1 mm for the current B33W, B36W and eK Cross chassis. It was not backfilled for the older B11W rows, which remain unresearched.

The PCD and hole count never changed. 4×100 throughout, before, during and after.

So this looks like a data-availability gap, not a fitment change. But a reader glancing at the table could easily conclude that the joint platform changed something, and it did not. We are flagging it explicitly for that reason.

If you have a B11W-era eK, the 56.1 figure from its direct successor on the same platform is the best available evidence. It is not published for your car, so measure it.

Do Not Confuse the Minica With the Minicab

Important, because the names are one letter apart and the answer is completely different.

The Minica is the passenger kei car covered here: 4×100 on 56 mm.

The Minicab is the commercial kei van and truck, and it is one of the documented 4×114.3 traps — four studs on the large bolt circle, which nobody expects on a kei vehicle.

They are different vehicles with different hubs and similar names. If a listing says “Minicab” or “Minica” without a chassis code, ask.

Thirty-Six Years at +46

Worth remarking on. The offset has been +46 since the 1989 Minica, across every model in this family. Wheel diameters have grown from 10 inch to 14, and the offset has not moved.

Note it is +46, not the +45 used by Suzuki and Daihatsu. One millimetre, entirely irrelevant in practice, but it is another small sign that Mitsubishi’s kei hardware is its own thing rather than a copy of the class convention.

Importing

The Minica ran to 1999 and is entirely eligible for US import. The eK launched in October 2001 and first-generation cars are eligible from 2026 onward.

None was sold outside Japan. The eK Sport turbo is the enthusiast pick from this family, and it is on exactly the same hub as the base car.

What We Could Not Verify

  • Hub bore for the eK Wagon and eK Custom B11W (2013–2019), and for the 2019–2025 rows of the B33W and eK Cross chassis. Marked unresearched; the July 2025 refresh did not backfill them.
  • A Toppo H91A chassis code. It does not appear anywhere in the database — only H82A and the earlier Toppo BJ codes.
  • Wheel sizes and offsets for several of the middle generations, left blank in the aggregate.
